Vedant “VK” Mimani is a Founding Principal and Portfolio Manager at Fortuna Investors.
He began his career in 1996 as a Proprietary Trader for Heartland Securities (now Trillium Trading). Based in New York, New York, Heartland was a pioneer in electronic trading methodologies.
From 2005-2014, he served as a Portfolio Manager at Atyant Capital, an Investment Manager focused on emerging market equities on behalf of primarily institutional capital. Based in Miami, Florida, Atyant Capital was a traditional, fundamental investing shop.
After VK and Michael met in 2014, Fortuna Investors grew out of their similar backgrounds and shared desire to provide quantitative investment management for their friends and families.
VK grew up in New Jersey and attended Yale University (BA Economics ‘96), where he played on the football team. He is an Investment Advisor Representative and has passed his Series 65.
He lives in Miami Beach with his wife and two young daughters. He enjoys boxing, chess, and markets.
