Michael J. Ritger is a Founding Principal, Portfolio Manager & Financial Advisor at Fortuna Investors.
He began his career in 2003 as an equity analyst covering growth equities. Recognizing the excesses in the economy ahead of the Great Financial Crisis, Michael sought to profit from the downturn and transitioned to independent trading and writing in 2008.
Though Michael enjoyed success as an independent investor, he sought to make a bigger impact through helping others invest and plan for the future.
With his experience and understanding of market history, Michael embraced systematic investing and developed strategies that could be implemented on behalf of clients to minimize risk and enhance investment returns.
Michael grew up in New Jersey, attended Bates College (BA English ‘02) and the Yale School of Forestry (Master of Environmental Management ‘05). He is an Investment Advisor Representative and has passed his Series 65.
Michael lives in Jupiter, Florida with his wife and four children. He enjoys reading old books, fishing, and kayaking.
